Abstract
Purpose: To provide parents and child educators an easily understandable handbook explaining the impact of sensory processing on preschool-aged children Design: This handbook is organized using chapters featuring each of the eight senses. Each chapter includes an introduction of each sensory system, suggested sensory activities, and helpful sensory processing resources. Population/Sample: Parents and child educators of typically developing preschool-aged children. Primary findings: Due to the busy lifestyles of parents and child educators, we saw the necessity to create a concise and easily understandable handbook providing direct information explaining the impact of sensory processing on preschool-aged children. Conclusion: Those who use this handbook will better understand the importance of sensory exploration in preschool-aged children and understand the impact of sensory processing on a child during everyday activities.
